Swedish black metallers MARDUK are preparing for their pillage through North America on this year’s Blackenedfest. The 22-date trek kicks off May 21st and will hit major cities throughout the US as well as Toronto and Montreal. Formed by guitarist Morgan Steinmeyer Håkansson with the goal of becoming the “most blasphemous band in the world,” it’s been nearly a decade since Marduk last toured the states making an already punishing tour package all the more crucial. Marduk’s latest album, Rom 5:12, was released in North America in May 2007 via Regain.
Said Marduk in a collective statement to fans: “We are delighted to announce Marduk’s return to North America. We do not come in peace, but with flames of fire! Looking forward to see you all!”
