It was a good week for Metal on the sales charts, as five bands saw their new albums debut in the top 50. Megadeth entered the chart at #9 with Endgame, selling 45,000 copies in the first week. Porcupine Tree started at #25 with The Incident, selling 17,500, and Shadows Fall bowed at #35 with Retribution, moving 13,200. The Black Dahlia Murder started at #43 with Deflorate, selling 12,400, and Every Time I Die’s latest album, New Junk Aesthetic, came in at #46 with 12,000 units sold.
Metal Blade will reissue the classic King Diamond albums The Spiders Lullabye and The Graveyard on October 13. Both have been re-mastered by guitarist Andy LaRocque, and each album will include bonus material that purchasers will be able to obtain digitally. It has also been confirmed that the King Diamond songs “Welcome Home” and “Cremation” will appear on the upcoming video game Brutal Legend.
