Pomona, California thrashers BONDED BY BLOOD are currently in the studio recording their brand new album, Exiled To Earth.  The band are holed up at Highland Recorders with producer Ralph Patlan (WHITE WIZZARD, MEGADETH, UFO), recording the follow-up to their ripping 2008 debut album, Feed The Beast.

Bonded By Blood guitarists Alex Lee and Juan Juarez have finished recording their parts for the new album.  Bonded By Blood bassist Jerry Garcia comments on the band’s progress: “After taking a days break on Sunday, BBB came back into the studio on Monday and finished 7 more bass tracks and the final 3 earlier today. Jose is in the studio right now doing his vocals and just finished the first track on the album.

“Everything is sounding amazing and Exiled to Earth is nearly complete. We will post some videos soon with some footage of me laying down some bass tracks and Jose talking shit into the mic.”

DRUMMER MIKE PORTNOY OF DREAM THEATER ISSUES STATEMENT ABOUT BEING ASKED TO RECORD WITH AVENGED SEVENFOLD

Yesterday, Avenged Sevenfold–whose drummer James ‘the Rev’ Sullivan tragically passed away in December 2009–announced on their website that they are recording their new album with Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy.  Avenged Sevenfold said in part: “We asked Jimmy’s all time favorite drummer Mike Portnoy to record on behalf of him. Mike said it would be an honor and without question that’s what Jim would have wanted. It’s comforting to us that someone like Mike, who is undoubtedly revered as one of the best drummers in the world, held such respect and adoration for the Rev’s abilities.”

MUNICIPAL WASTE are gearing up for their first ever South / Latin American tour, due to take place in March. Guitarist Ryan Waste comments:

Former METAL CHURCH frontman Ronny Munroe completes the line up of recently founded Germany based BRUTAL GODZ. According to the band’s guitar player, Uwe Lulis, he perfectly matches the band’s expectations: “Ronny impressed us with his voice and instantly made us feel like: He is the perfect one. We sent him three songs to work on and even in the same night he responded. Within a short timeframe of several hours Ronny had written lyrics, created and arranged all the vocal lines and then performed his work. Something that all of us had never experienced before.
